At the end of The Awakening we saw that Chloe, Simon, Derek and Tori had made it to Andrews who in turn put them up in a safe house. But its not as safe as they think. Andrew has brought in a group of adult supernatural buddies to help the kids and teach them. Only one problem, half of them don't believe what they have been through or just how powerful they are, and when they witness just how fast the powers are developing they soon become cautious and its not long before we get a whiff of the Edison Group again.

After being by themselves for so long, the kids are finding it hard to trust those around them. But even with all the conspiracy theories firing left right and center, it still doesn't stop a love triangle forming between Chole, Derek and Simon. Simon is in love with Chloe, and while she cares deeply for simon she cant help be drawn to Derek, trouble is she's either too blind to see she has feeling for him or just doesn't want to admit it to herself, as then it would mean hurting one of them in the process of elimination. I won't go into full detail about who she does or doesn't end up with, because its not for me to spoil. But everything about it is cute and adorable and just swoon worthy

I loved this book, not as much as The Awakening, but still a lot. I think it was well written, the characters well thought out and that it was a good ending to a really good series and I'm glad i finally got around to reading something by Kelley Armstrong after all these years.
